Elexicon Energy Inc. – Veridian Rate Zone applied to the Ontario Energy Board to change its electricity distribution rates effective January 1, 2021. If the application is approved, a typical residential customer of Elexicon Energy Inc. – Veridian Rate Zone would see an increase of approximately $0.90 per month. The increase reflects proposed 2021 rates as compared to those approved in 2019. Elexicon deferred implementation of 2020 rates due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Other customers, including businesses, may also be affected.

Whitby Rate Zone:
To assist customers financially during the COVID-19 emergency, Elexicon Energy Inc. has chosen to defer implementation of its Veridian Rate Zone 2020 Electricity Rates and Charges until at least November 1, 2020. The Ontario Energy Board (OEB) has approved the 2020 rates which would have otherwise been implemented on May 1st. This results in a savings to all customers in the Veridian Rate Zone, and an average residential customer will save $1.07/month during the deferral period.
