Centralized Capacity Information Map

Elexicon Energy (Elexicon) has provided information to the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) that has been included in their Centralized Capacity Information Map. This centralized map has two separate layers that show areas in Elexicon’s distribution system with potential capacity to:

  • Connect new load connections such as residential, non-residential (including EV Charging), commercial / industrial, multi-unit buildings or subdivisions.
  • Host additional distributed energy resources (DERs) like solar, wind or biomass.

Please note: Capacity is not reserved or guaranteed until such time as an offer to connect has been executed.

Disclaimer:

The capacity shown is based on current usage, existing agreements and any limitations like upstream or downstream constraints.

This map provides a snapshot of where capacity may or may not be available, but it doesn’t account for all factors that could affect availability, such as other customers’ demand or DERs already in the planning process. If an area has limited capacity, it may require system upgrades at the customer’s cost to connect a new load or DER.

The map is for general reference only and may not reflect real-time capacity availability. Before making any plans or spending money, customers should contact Elexicon to confirm availability by:

  • For micro-embedded generation DERs, visiting here for additional information and directions.
  • Filling out the Preliminary Consultation Information Request form for renewable energy sources like solar or wind for projects greater that 10kW. Additional information is also available here.
  • Completing the Electric Vehicle Preliminary Consultation Information Request form for non-residential EV charging.
  • Emailing dservices@elexiconenergy.com for help with multi-unit residential, subdivisions, or commercial/industrial projects.
