Kilowatt-hour (kWh) is the unit of measurement used to calculate the electricity usage on your bill. Kilowatt-hour is defined as the power used by an electrical device during a given time period. For example, 1 kWh could be 1,000 watts used over 1 hour or 10 watts over 100 hours.

This amount represents the electricity supplied during this billing period. Kilowatt-hour (kWh) rates are set by the Ontario Energy Board (OEB).

Effective November 1, 2019, the Government of Ontario introduced the new Ontario Electricity Rebate (OER), which provides eligible customers with a rebate on their electricity bill. If you are eligible, this rebate will automatically appear on your bill.
This amount represents the provincial Harmonized Sales Tax.
