At Elexicon Energy, we believe the smallest of efforts can make the greatest of impacts. That’s why when it comes to your business’ electricity bill, we want to help you save both energy and money to improve your bottom line.
Take advantage of the rebates and programs available through the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) and Enbridge, to find opportunities to reduce your energy consumption and help save the planet.
The Small Business Program is designed to help you make equipment improvements to reduce energy consumption in your small business. If approved for the program, businesses can receive incentives of up to $2,000 for eligible lighting equipment and up to $2,500 for eligible non-lighting equipment.
The Retrofit Program, available to businesses and contractors, offers incentives for energy-efficient improvements under these categories: Lighting, HVAC, and Manufacturing and other equipment. These incentives are available to owners or lessees of commercial spaces, industrial facilities, institutional buildings, multi-unit residential buildings and agriculture.
The Save on Energy Industrial Energy Efficiency Program (IEEP), delivered by IESO, is designed to help industrial customers across Ontario improve their processes and implement system optimization projects. Projects will use commercial technologies to lower energy consumption and reduce electricity bills.
Customers must apply for the program that will offer selected participants up to $5 million per project in incentives. The total funding of nearly $80 million will be awarded over two competitive rounds in 2022 and 2023.
The Industrial Conservation Initiative (ICI) is a demand response program aimed at shifting Elexicon’s Energy’s large electricity users’ consumption to off-peak hours. This allows our larger hydro customers to manage their Global Adjustment (GA) costs by reducing demand during peak periods.
To learn more about the program, who is eligible, and how to opt in or opt out, visit Industrial Conservation Initiative.
A Capacity Auction allows IESO to acquire electricity capacity in a cost-effective manner to adjust to the changing demands on the system. The Capacity Auction acquires capacity from two Obligation periods – Summer (May 1 to October 31) and Winter (November 1 to April 30).
