Planned Power Outages, Work and Projects

At Elexicon Energy, we want to ensure the electricity distribution network is efficient and  delivers reliable service to our customers. This involves important ongoing maintenance and construction work that may require power to be temporarily disrupted.

Scheduled power outages or interruptions are carefully planned when there is a need to repair or replace equipment, with the goal of improving electricity reliability and safety. We make every effort to keep the interruption time as short as possible.

To help you prepare for upcoming service interruptions or outages in your neighbourhood, we send notices in advance.  Click here for more information on what to do to prepare for this planned work.

To protect the safety of our customers and crews, here are some important things to know.

Please make arrangements ahead of time if you:

  • Are on life support or require a medical device supported by electricity (speak with your medical services provider for more assistance)
  • Have computer equipment
  • Have an electric sump pump
  • Have an electric garage door opener
  • Have a security company monitoring your home
  • Have smoke and carbon monoxide alarms electronically connected to your home’s power supply without battery back-up
