To temporarily disconnect or shut down power at a customer-owned substation or primary service, a primary service isolation is required.
The table below outlines the required fees for this service. This service includes one disconnect and reconnect. Elexicon crews will leave after disconnecting the service and will return for the reconnect after ESA Connection Authorization is received.
If the customer requires Elexicon crews to complete on-site training, check-ins, or a request to stay on-site during the work (all requiring additional time outside of this scope), the customer must disclose this to Elexicon at the time of the original request and there may be additional charges.

Standard business hours for isolations are: Monday to Friday, between 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
A minimum of three (3) weeks advanced notice is required for all requests and are booked based on Elexicon’s availability. To request an appointment, please complete and submit the Primary/Substation Isolation Request Form to the Connections Department contact below:
Completion of this form does not guarantee an appointment for the requested date. An Elexicon representative will contact you to review the details of your request and confirm your appointment date and time.
Please remember that, Elexicon staff cannot operate your equipment (44kV switches, etc.) due to liability issues and therefore, the customer is required to have their contractor operate customer equipment. If requested to operate customer owned equipment, Elexicon staff have the right to refuse and your isolation may be cancelled. Elexicon Energy will prove isolation. It will be up to the contractor to apply their own working grounds. Please ensure that you have the necessary operators on site to avoid any work delays or appointment cancellations.

Elexicon requires a minimum of two (2) business days notice when cancelling a primary/substation isolation. If the appointment is cancelled without the required notice, the charges below will apply.
