Ajax, ON (January 7, 2022) Elexicon Energy applauds new measures announced by the Government of Ontario today to provide electricity-rate relief for its residential and small business customers.
As of Tuesday, January 18, 2022, households, farms and small businesses will be charged at the current off-peak rate of 8.2 cents per kilowatt-hour for all Regulated Price Plan (RPP) customers, 24 hours per day until February 7, 2022. The changes come in an effort to support Ontarians impacted by COVID-19 as surging case counts of the Omicron variant drive the province into a modified Step Two of the Roadmap to Reopen.
“Elexicon Energy is in full support of the government’s decision to make this adjustment and support the needs of our residential and small business customers who may be struggling during this ongoing pandemic. We hope that the rate change will make a positive difference and allow families to have more time to focus on their health and well-being,” said Indy ButanyDeSouza President & CEO of Elexicon Energy.
