AJAX, ON – May 17, 2021 – The safety and well-being of Elexicon Energy’s employees and customers is very important and this week we are raising awareness about Powerline Safety Week May 17 – 22.
As the weather gets warmer and people are venturing outside to do spring cleaning, yard work and landscaping or renovation projects, we ask everyone to be aware of the nearby powerlines. Overhead powerlines should always be considered hazardous. Residents should always be cautious when working near powerlines, staying three metres away and carrying tall items such as ladders sideways to avoid accidentally touching a powerline.
To keep everyone safe, we encourage residents to be mindful during Powerline Safety Week and throughout the year. It’s always better to call Elexicon Energy beforehand to ensure work areas are safe.

Powerline Safety Week is also a great opportunity to thank all the Elexicon Energy linepersons who brave inclement weather, navigate through hard to access locations and dangerous situations to maintain and restore power to your home and throughout our communities.
