Today, the Government of Ontario announced that it is taking action on integrated energy planning for the continued reliability and affordability of the province’s clean energy supply by launching the Electrification and Energy Transition Panel.
“Elexicon Energy applauds the work done to date by the Ministry of Energy and Minister Todd Smith to bring forward the launch of the Electrification and Energy Transition Panel,” said Elexicon Energy President and CEO Indy Butany-DeSouza. “Elexicon and the communities we serve have long been proponents of the need for integrated energy planning that considers new technologies and decarbonization efforts. We look forward to providing distribution level resources to help build future capacity in the province and to ensure ongoing safe and reliable electricity distribution. We support the panel and the leadership of David Collie in order to keep electricity rates affordable and to enable investment, job creation and skills development in Ontario by making it easier for companies to anticipate the long-term development of the province’s energy sector.”
