AJAX, ON — May 14, 2021 – Elexicon Energy has officially made a commitment to create a workplace that reflects the rich and diverse community that it serves, by being the first organization to sign the expanded Leadership Accord with Electricity Human Resources Canada.

The accord focuses on gender equality in the electricity sector as well as expanding its reach to racialized and under-represented groups. By using a diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) lens Elexicon Energy will implement these changes, as it aims to become a leader in the industry as well as the region.

“We are thrilled to be the first organization to sign the Leadership Accord with Electricity Human Resources Canada,” says Norm Fraser, Interim President and CEO of Elexicon Energy. “Elexicon is committed to continuing our work to advance our company’s journey to implementing diverse, equitable and inclusive initiatives which will support staff and our communities.”

As part of its commitment, Elexicon Energy employees have been participating in multiple DEI training sessions this year including the development of internal DEI policies and initiatives. “We want to ensure our employee are fully engaged in helping to build a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture at Elexicon,” says Vice President of Human Resources, Stacia Boss.
