What does International Women’s Day mean to you?

IWD to me is a day to celebrate the achievements of women around the world and a call to action to continue supporting equality for all and #InspireInclusion.

What has been the greatest achievement in your career?

The greatest achievement in my career has been going back to university at the age of 40 and completing my degree, while working full-time and having young children at home. This was a personal achievement for me, that helped me get my job at a predecessor corporation of Elexicon and has presented a number of other opportunities since.

Why is it important to #InspireInclusion and to continue to work towards gender equality?

Females account for roughly half of the population on earth. Advancing gender equality and making the necessary steps to #InspireInclusion are critical for a healthy society and continued sustainment. Gender equality promotes health and the economy while reducing poverty and racism, in turn supporting the well-being of all genders globally.
